Harper Raps Macomb Township HS for 5 Hits

All game long, Hammond HS's Ben Harper was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Indianapolis HS and banging out base hits against the Macomb Township HS Purple Aces. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Crows had a 7-6 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 16-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
Ben Harper singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, struck out in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
To date, Harper has collected 43 hits for a .368 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 24 runs and driven in 29 runs.
