Price Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, May 2nd, 1970 Steve Price, second baseman for the Taylor HS Sky Chiefs, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-1 victory today over the Bloomington HS Bruins at Ballpark of Buffalo HS today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Steve Price singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. To date this year Price is batting .374 with no home runs. |
