Lyons Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, May 4th, 1970 Cody Lyons's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-4 in a 9-2 West Bloomfield Township HS Scots triumph over the Parma HS Centaurs at Chaparrals Ballpark. The 15-year-old center fielder has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Scots. Cody Lyons flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Lyons has hit 2 home runs and posted a .400 batting average. |
