No Hits for Brown, Streak Ends at 25 Tuesday, May 5th, 1970 Tom Brown had his hitting streak snapped at 25 games today during a 5-1 Champaign HS win over the Canton HS Red Dogs at Field of the Railroaders. The 16-year-old catcher was hitless in 4 at-bats. "Had to end sometime," Brown said, shrugging. This year Brown is batting .476 with 59 hits, 2 home runs, 24 RBIs, 13 walks, .521 OBP and has scored 36 runs. |
