SL2 Player of the Week Goes to Corwin of Cicero HS Monday, May 11th, 1970 The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Conference 2 Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Wally Corwin for his great week at the plate. The Cicero HS left fielder took home the trophy by banging out 12 hits in 23 at-bats for a .522 batting average, driving in 6 runs and scoring 10 times. In his season totals Corwin has 5 home runs and a .403 batting average. |
