Season Possibly Over for D.J. Wheeler Thursday, May 14th, 1970 D.J. Wheeler will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Duluth HS third baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Wheeler was injured while throwing the ball in the Tyrants-Bruins clash at Ballpark of Buffalo HS recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 6 months. Currently Wheeler is batting .342 with 2 home runs and 34 RBIs. |
