Elkins on Fire: 5-for-6 for Moline HS Friday, April 3rd, 1970 Blake Elkins was on fire today and sparked his club to a 31-11 victory over the Burn. The Moline HS third baseman was a tough out and went 5-for-6 against Flint HS in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." Blake Elkins hit a two-run single in the 2nd, walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
