Great Stroke: Kinney Gets 5 Hits Friday, April 3rd, 1970 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Bryan Kinney today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Blue Devils Ballpark and paced the Suns to a 31-11 win over the Flint HS Burn. After his dynamite batting performance, the Moline HS right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Bryan Kinney grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th.
