Jensen Blisters Wyoming HS Saturday, April 4th, 1970 Macomb Township HS Purple Aces left fielder Paul Jensen had a day to remember at Ballpark of Indianapolis HS today, ripping apart the Wyoming HS Woodchucks and sparking the Purple Aces to a 23-22 victory. Jensen wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-7. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Jensen told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Paul Jensen doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
