Great Day for Fisher -- 5 Hits Sunday, April 5th, 1970 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Cicero HS's 16-8 win over Southfield HS today, second baseman Mike Fisher was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Ballpark of Tucson HS. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Fisher said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Mike Fisher singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in a run in the 8th. To date, Fisher has collected 13 hits for a .565 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 8 runs and driven in 5 runs. View Boxscore |
