Krause's Season Could be Over
Wednesday, April 8th, 1970
The doctors have spoken and Danny Krause of the O'Fallon HS Horned Frogs didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Krause sustained his season-ending injury during the Canton HS Red Dogs game yesterday at Tropic Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the O'Fallon HS medical staff reported Krause had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.

Krause has made 5 games so far this year with 3 saves. In 4.2 innings he has dished out 6 strikeouts and walked 6 with a 1-0 mark and a 1.93 ERA.
