Hits Galore: Wagschal Drills 5 Hits Thursday, April 9th, 1970 Grant Wagschal was the King of Swing today at Ballpark of Tucson HS today in the 21-4 Waterford Township HS Sky win over the Moline HS Suns. The Waterford Township HS first baseman stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Moline HS and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. "Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-6 isn't bad for your batting average either." Grant Wagschal singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.ink] In 1970 Wagschal has hit at a .375 clip with 15 hits, no home runs, 6 RBIs and has scored 14 times.
