Players Suspended in Cosmos-Keggers Donnybrook Saturday, April 11th, 1970 It was quite a row yesterday at Sacramento HS Grounds. The Cosmos Will Eckenstahler and the Keggers Tyler Owens backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Eckenstahler and Owens were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 8-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. For the year Eckenstahler is batting .278 with 10 hits and no home runs. He has scored 9 times and driven in 8. |
