Gangsters John Stennett Swings Hot Bat, SL1 Winner Monday, April 20th, 1970 Swinging a hot stick last week, John Stennett picked up the Conference 1 Player of the Week Award today. The 18-year-old left fielder for Dearborn HS lashed 15 hits in 28 at-bats as he put together a .536 average with 2 home runs. Stennett also drove in 16 runs, scored 12 times and compiled a .618 OBP. So far this year in 18 games Stennett is hitting .456 with 3 home runs, 33 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
