Season Possibly Over for Danny Moffo Saturday, April 25th, 1970 When Danny Moffo was hurt against the Davenport HS Destroyers, the Wyoming HS Woodchucks were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 17-year-old reliever suffered a torn rotator cuff throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Moffo would miss 5-6 months of the season. Moffo has pitched 19 innings and molded a 5.21 ERA with 1 save. He has surrendered 19 hits while registering 18 strikeouts on his way to a 0-1 record for the Woodchucks this year. |
