Welsh Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, April 25th, 1970 Terry Welsh, center fielder for the Kenosha HS Monarchs, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 11-4 victory today over the Parma HS Centaurs at Marauders Ballpark today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Parma HS manager said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Terry Welsh singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Welsh is batting .398 this year with 6 home runs, 29 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 98 at-bats. |
