Texas Tech Ace Wins L2 Most Valuable College Pitcher Award

The 1972 League 2 Most Valuable College Pitcher Award has gone to Texas Tech Red Raiders ace Mike Fox after a stellar 14-1 season.

In 15 starts he piled up 127.2 innings, 90 strikeouts, 39 walks and a 1.69 ERA. Fox held opposing hitters to a .217 batting average.

Chris Rivera of the Oklahoma Sooners finished second in voting, while Rich Schwartz of the Oklahoma Sooners finished third.
