| Logsdon Sizzles with 30-Game Batting Streak Monday, February 14th, 1972 David Logsdon has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Oklahoma third baseman picked up 3 more today against the Stanford Cardinals and now has a 30-game hitting streak. The Sooners won the game 7-4.
"Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." David Logsdon walked in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
Presently Logsdon is batting .450 with 36 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 15 runs and scored 16 times. | |
