Logsdon Runs Hit String to 31 Straight Games
Tuesday, February 15th, 1972
David Logsdon, third baseman for the Oklahoma Sooners, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 1 hit in his club's 2-0 victory today over the Stanford Cardinals at Golden Eagles Ballpark today.

"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends."
David Logsdon doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th and struck out in the 7th.

This season Logsdon is batting at a .446 clip with 1 home run and 15 RBIs.
