Biehl and Perez Fight, Suspended 8 Games
Saturday, February 19th, 1972
Hot tempers flared and a few punches were thrown at the Southern California and Arizona State game yesterday and ended up with two players ejected. Dave Biehl of the Trojans and Tim Perez of the Sun Devils have now been reprimanded and issued 8-game suspensions by the league commissioner for their parts in the fracas.

Hitting .345 to date, Biehl has 3 home runs and 14 RBIs. He has played in 22 games.

Perez has taken the mound for 5 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 1.23 ERA. The Arizona State reliever has limited opposing batters to a .240 batting average.
