 | League 2's Best Batter Announced Monday, February 21st, 1972 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the League 2, but last week Jimmy Yarbro of the Southern California Trojans reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Yarbro rocked opposing pitching for a .433 average (13-for-30), 2 home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. For the year Yarbro has hit .323 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 18 runs. |   |
