Grimes Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games

Josh Grimes's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-4 in a 12-5 North Carolina Tar Heels triumph over the Maryland Terrapins at Honolulu College Grounds. The 23-year-old third baseman has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Tar Heels.
Josh Grimes flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bubba Presley in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

This year Grimes has socked 42 hits in 101 at-bats for a .416 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .504 pace and his totals also include 31 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
