 | Merrill Goes 5-for-5 Against Colorado Thursday, February 24th, 1972 At Ballpark of Milwaukee College today, second baseman Danny Merrill outhit everybody with 5 base hits, but his Southern California Trojans still took it on the chin and dropped the game by the score of 15-9 to the Colorado Buffaloes. Danny Merrill singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
