 | Wells Twirls Tigers to Shutout Win Sunday, March 12th, 1972 Chris Wells led the Missouri Tigers to a 11-0 shutout victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Snobs Ballpark today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Wells recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Wells yielded 4 hits and had 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Oklahoma State manager said.
