 | Bruins End Cameron's Streak Sunday, March 12th, 1972 The Colorado Buffaloes lost to the UCLA Bruins 7-1 today at Field of the Canaries, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Matt Cameron's 21-game hitting streak. The center fielder went 0-for-2 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Cameron, we would win the game," Bruins manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." So far this year in 41 games Cameron is hitting .308 with 2 home runs, 26 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |   |
