 | Star of the Week Named in L2 Monday, March 13th, 1972 19-year-old Ryan Streeter made a few Iowa State headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and League 2 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .609 average. Streeter collected no home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This year Streeter is batting .278 with 1 home run. |   |
