Big Day for Moore: Swats 5 Hits
Tuesday, March 14th, 1972
All game long, Arizona State's Justin Moore was rattling the walls at Saints Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Oregon Ducks. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Sun Devils had a 18-5 victory.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 20-year-old shortstop said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

Justin Moore flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

This year Moore has socked 55 hits in 184 at-bats for a .299 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .420 pace and his totals also include 32 RBIs and 41 runs scored.
