 | Marshall Whitewashes Eagles Friday, March 17th, 1972 It wasn't easy but Gary Marshall made it look that way. Marshall silenced the Boston College Eagles, 4-0, in a Florida State Seminoles triumph at Jammers Ballpark today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Marshall said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 6 walks and 5 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
