 | Jenne Selected Top Performer in South Division Monday, February 26th, 1973 So far in his young career, Corey Jenne has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the South Division in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old LSU Tigers first baseman hit at a torrid .538 clip as he collected 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Currently Jenne is batting .420 with 9 home runs, 36 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |   |
