| Cobb Dominates Aggies in Shutout Friday, March 2nd, 1973 Mike Cobb subdued the Texas A&M Aggies, 7-0, pitching a 8-hit gem for the Mississippi Rebels at Great American Ball Park.
"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Mississippi skipper said afterward.
Cobb registered 6 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Texas A&M manager after the defeat.
So far this season Cobb has a 7-3 record with a 3.39 ERA.
