 | Hale Bewilders Sooners in Shutout Monday, March 27th, 1972 Josh Hale shut down the Oklahoma Sooners today, blanking them 16-0 on 5 hits, ringing up 4 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. The Kansas Jayhawks pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Hale said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better.
