 | Fox Nabs L2 #1 Pitcher Award Saturday, April 1st, 1972 In March, Mike Fox tore through the League 2 like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 21 years old. The young Texas Tech starter posted a 7-1 mark and an ERA of 1.57 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 69 innings he collected 46 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .213 average. His record for the year is 14-1 in 15 starts and Fox has a 1.69 ERA. |   |
