Win Extends Expos Lead to 2-0 Over Brewers
Behind the big bat of right fielder Dave Winfield, the Montreal Expos have opened up a healthy early lead in the FBN Championship. The Expos topped the Milwaukee Brewers 7-5 at Milwaukee County Stadium 1976 today in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Winfield went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 to power Montreal to victory.

Winfield had a consequential at-bat in the top of the seventh for the Expos. Coming up with a runner on 2nd and Montreal trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run home run.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Montreal manager Rich Callaghan.

The next game is set to be played Wednesday, April 23rd, 1947. The scheduled starters for the game are Gary Lucas for Milwaukee and Ed Halicki for Montreal.
