Milwaukee Wins to Cut Montreal Lead to 2-1
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Montreal Expos, 3-1 in Game 3 of the FBN Championship today. The key to the win was starter Atlee Hammaker, who threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball. The win narrows Milwaukee's deficit in the series to 2-1.

Hammaker allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 8.1 innings for the Brewers. He walked 3 and struck out 8.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Montreal manager Rich Callaghan.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Olympic Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Tom Underwood for the Milwaukee Brewers and Frank Tanana for the the Montreal Expos.
