Scott Ks 16, Dodgers Top Expos in Extra Innings to Tie Series
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a strong game from starter Mike Scott, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.
The Dodgers took the 2-1 win over the Montreal Expos in Game 2 of the Semi-Finals in a 11th inning walk-off today. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Scott. Scott threw 10 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which brought the Dodgers into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.
Los Angeles won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Frank Tanana on the mound for Montreal, catcher Jerry Keller hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Dodgers fans to their feet.
"This place was rockin'," Scott said.
Game 3 is set to be played tomorrow at Dodger Stadium 1962. The scheduled starters for the game are Mark W Davis for the Montreal Expos and Nick Williams for the the Los Angeles Dodgers.
