Stenhouse, Seattle Start First Round 2 Loos and out Strong with Home Win
The Seattle Mariners got past the Kentucky Giants by the score of 8-3 today in the crucial first game of the First Round 2 Loos and out at Kingdome 1977. Seattle center fielder Mike Stenhouse went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. With a 1-0 lead, the Mariners will have two chances to close out the Giants.

Don Mattingly helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run double. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Mariners.

"I felt good up there," said Stenhouse. "I saw the ball well."

Game 2 is set to be played Sunday at Kentucky Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Tommy John for Seattle and Fritz Ostermueller for Kentucky.
