Montreal Win Semi-finals Friday, May 17th, 1946 All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Montreal Expos are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Union Township Sodbusters are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently. The Expos took a 10-9 victory at Olympic Stadium today, which gave Montreal a 3-1 series win. With the win, Montreal will advance to play in the FBN Championship. "We aren't ready to go home yet," said Expos third baseman Mike Schmidt, who was named series MVP. The Montreal Expos will play against the Wabash Warriors in the next round.
