Ruthven Humbles Huntington Station Monday, April 15th, 1946 In an excellent mound performance, Dick Ruthven of the Boston Red Sox whitewashed the Huntington Station Ramrods 10-0 on a 5-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Boston hurler rang up 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.
