Montreal Sweeps into the Semi-Finals Sunday, April 6th, 1947 After their 4-3 win today over the Tampa Smokers, the Montreal Expos will advance to the Semi-Finals. Despite coming out on the losing side, the series MVP award went to Tampa third baseman Ossie Bluege. Bluege told a reporter from the Tampa Citizen that he was disappointed in the loss, and hopes to be back next year competing for the FBN Championship Montreal won the series 2-0. The Montreal Expos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Manchester Mooses - Los Angeles Dodgers series. Los Angeles leads the series 1 games to 0.
