Milwaukee Advances to FBN Championship Friday, April 18th, 1947 The Milwaukee Brewers have beaten the Seattle Mariners in the Semi-Finals, despite a strong performance from Mariners first baseman Don Mattingly. Mattingly was given MVP honors for his performance even though his team came out on the losing end of the series. "It's a good news, bad news thing I guess," he said. "Unfortunately the bad news is really bad -- our season is over." Milwaukee won the final game by a score of 4-3 at Kingdome 1977 and took the series 3-1. The Milwaukee Brewers will play against the Montreal Expos in the next round. Montreal won their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers 3 games to 1.
