Wabash Sweeps into the Semi-finals Friday, May 10th, 1946 The Wabash Warriors are on to the Semi-finals after a convincing series win over the Cincinnati Reds. Wabash wrapped up the series sweep with a 11-6 win in the last game, to take the series 2-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Marty McManus, who was named series MVP. For the series, McManus hit .571 with a .571 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Wabash Warriors will play against the Anchorage Huskies in the next round.
