Shea Tosses Shutout Against Toros
|
Kenneth Shea shut out the Tucson Toros 4-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Portland Beavers at Hi Corbett Field today.
"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Portland skipper said afterward.
Shea registered 5 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Tucson manager after the defeat.
His record for the year is 12-12 in 24 starts and Shea has a 3.39 ERA.
