Satzinger Pitches Gem as Blue Jays Beat Auburn, 1-0
|
Jeff Satzinger was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Auburn Red Stars on 3 hits.
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Auburn manager after the 1-0 loss to the Utica Blue Jays.
Satzinger finished with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, Utica manager said Satzinger "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
For the year Satzinger has compiled a 3-5 record with a 3.39 ERA.
