Armando Gutierrez Blanks Tucson, 3-0 Saturday, September 4th, 1982 Armando Gutierrez kept the Tucson Toros hitters off balance all game long as the Eugene Emeralds pitcher blanked the Toros, 3-0. Gutierrez gave up 3 hits, struck out 6 and walked 4. In the postgame press conference, the right-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length. "It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it."
