Perez shut out the Cherokees on 1 hit and 1 walk. He registered 9 strikeouts over 9 innings. "Velocity felt good, everything felt good today," a smiling Perez said later. "Command felt good, conditions felt good, glove felt good, hat felt good. Seriously everything." On the year Perez has worked 62 innings with 42 strikeouts en route to a 5-3 record and 3.48 ERA.
