Pitcher of the Year Award Presented to Bozeman Star

The Pioneer League announced today that Jim Gott has been chosen the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 1982. The Bozeman starter had everything working for him this past season as he breezed to a 18-5 record.

In his award-winning season Gott crafted a 2.14 ERA in 214 innings with 211 strikeouts and 53 walks. Opposing batters hit .189 against him in his 25 starts.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mike Warren of the Williston Water Wolves finished second in voting, while Neil Bryant of the Williston Water Wolves finished third.
