The Irvington HS Yaks took the 21-3 win today over the Union City HS Astronauts, but the Astronauts mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 25-game hitting streak of Yaks first baseman Neil Milito. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Milito," Union City HS manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Yaks have other hitters and they did their job today." In 1970 Milito has hit at a .369 clip with 41 hits, 1 home run, 26 RBIs and has scored 19 times. |   |
