Scott rocked opposing pitching for a .519 average (14-for-27), 4 home runs and 12 RBIs to come away with the award.
Scott is hitting .375 for the season with 8 home runs, 32 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 96 at-bats and played in 23 games. | | Tierney Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Sunday, March 11th, 1973 The Danbury HS Black Cats stopped the Eden Prairie HS Eagles today 9-7 and Kippy Tierney collected a base hit yet again. The Danbury HS catcher finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Tierney told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Kippy Tierney singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
