 | Capozzi Goes on Rampage Against Eagles Sunday, March 11th, 1973 It was a sensational day at the plate for Lance Capozzi as he led the charge to a 9-7 win over the Eagles. The Danbury HS right fielder was pure misery for the Eden Prairie HS pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Capozzi put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Eagles, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Lance Capozzi singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Bolyard in the 9th. View Boxscore |   |
