 | Nick McCoy Lost for Season Thursday, May 7th, 1970 Nick McCoy will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Wilmington HS center fielder could miss the remainder of the year. McCoy was injured while throwing the ball in the Helldogs-Fighting Knights clash at Ghostriders Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 4-5 months. McCoy is batting at a .333 pace this season, picking up 38 hits in 114 at-bats with 2 home runs, 23 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |   |
